Shelley Hannah and I had been talking about Clifford’s Gift for a long time. Several Years. It was right around the time I was still creating static HTML websites. Pre-Wordpress. Her static site is Fluff Bookkeeping. Shelley’s devotion to her vision was unwavering. Now part of that vision has unfolded into Clifford’s Gift, A Voice for the Animals.
Working with Shelley was wonderful, partially because she knew what she wanted. Each color on the website holds meaning. She shares her personal story. Her devotion to her gift, to Clifford and to the animals is heart-warming. Even the publishing date is significant.
The design was a customized version of the basic Genesis Theme from Studiopress. The home page, one image, responds nicely from desktop to tablet and mobile devices. The inner pages are simple and straightforward. Two additional sidebars were added to the theme.
To improve Google ranking (even if by only a small amount) Really Simple SSL plugin was used with the SSL Certificate.
The social media links were customized to match the site colors.
